Surrender of certificate.—Every statistics officer who ceases to carry on the collection of statistics shall, within forty-five days of such cessation, surrender the certificate of registration to the Central Government in person or by registered post, and shall inform it in Form 3 of the manner in which every census schedule held by him has been disposed of.
