Application for registration.—Every registered proprietor of a design carrying on the application of a registered design shall make an application for registration to the Registrar of Geographical Indications in Form 1, within sixty days of the commencement of these rules, accompanied by a fee of forty thousand rupees and a statement of every specification held by him on the date of the application, and shall keep a copy of the application and of the statement for fourteen days from that date.
