Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the licensed surveyor shall apply to the Settlement Officer in Form 14 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees, and the Settlement Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fifteen days of the application.
