Definitions.—In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) "Act" means the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955 (West Bengal Act 10 of 1955); (b) "person removing earth from Government land" means a person carrying on the removal of earth from Government land; (c) "register of holdings" means a register of holdings received, held or disposed of by a person removing earth from Government land in the course of the removal of earth from Government land; (d) "Form 8" means the form so numbered in the Schedule; (e) words and expressions used herein and not defined but defined in the Act shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Act.
