Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the insurer issuing policies shall apply to the Sub-Registrar in Form C for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees, and the Sub-Registrar shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fifteen days of the application.
