Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the owner of a motor transport undertaking shall apply to the Chief Inspector of Factories in Form VI for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees, and the Chief Inspector of Factories shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within sixty days of the application.
