Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the overseas citizen of India shall apply to the passport authority in Form C for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees, and the passport authority shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fourteen days of the application.
