Surrender of certificate.—Every Marriage Officer who ceases to carry on the solemnisation of marriages shall, within sixty days of such cessation, surrender the certificate of registration to the District Court in person or by registered post, and shall inform it in Form II of the manner in which every marriage register held by him has been disposed of.
