Surrender of certificate.—Every occupant who ceases to carry on the occupation of land shall, within forty-five days of such cessation, surrender the certificate of registration to the Settlement Officer in person or by registered post, and shall inform it in Form 1 of the manner in which every register of holdings held by him has been disposed of.
