Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the manufacturer of motor vehicles shall apply to the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal in Form 1 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees, and the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fifteen days of the application.
