Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the contractor engaged by a Panchayat shall apply to the Gram Panchayat in Form 7 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees, and the Gram Panchayat shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within thirty days of the application.
