Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the Central Vigilance Commission in the custody of the First Appellate Officer, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the Central Vigilance Commission; and where the First Appellate Officer having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form E within one hundred and twenty days of the succession.
