Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the lessee shall apply to the Collector in Form 3 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees, and the Collector shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within three hundred and sixty-five days of the application.
