Application for registration.—Every merchant banker carrying on the business of a merchant banker shall make an application for registration to the Investor Protection Fund Trust in Form C, within seven days of the commencement of these rules, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees and a statement of every client agreement held by him on the date of the application, and shall keep a copy of the application and of the statement for sixty days from that date.
