Application for registration.—Every importer of goods bearing a mark carrying on the import of goods bearing a registered mark shall make an application for registration to the Controller in Form 1, within fourteen days of the commencement of these rules, accompanied by a fee of eight thousand rupees and a statement of every certificate of registration held by him on the date of the application, and shall keep a copy of the application and of the statement for three hundred and sixty-five days from that date.
