Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the marriage bureau shall apply to the Registrar of Marriages in Form II for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees, and the Registrar of Marriages shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within thirty days of the application.
