Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the Director of Panchayats in the custody of the Chief Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the Director of Panchayats; and where the Chief Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form 2 within twenty-one days of the succession.
