Application for registration.—Every owner of an inland vessel carrying on the plying of an inland vessel shall make an application for registration to the Mercantile Marine Department in Form 6, within thirty days of the commencement of these rules, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees and a statement of every register of vessels held by him on the date of the application, and shall keep a copy of the application and of the statement for twenty-one days from that date.
