Clause 2, Bihar Tenancy (Survey number Control) Order, 2009 [SES-G85]

Definitions.—In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) "Act" means the Bihar Tenancy Act, 1885 (Bihar Act 8 of 1885); (b) "holder of land in excess of the ceiling" means a person carrying on the holding of land in excess of the ceiling; (c) "holding" means a holding received, held or disposed of by a holder of land in excess of the ceiling in the course of the holding of land in excess of the ceiling; (d) "Form 8" means the form so numbered in the Schedule; (e) words and expressions used herein and not defined but defined in the Act shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Act.
