Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the applicant shall apply to the Registrar in Form 3 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees, and the Registrar shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fourteen days of the application.
