Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the landholder shall apply to the Tahsildar in Form 7 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees, and the Tahsildar shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within forty-five days of the application.
