Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the trustee of a family settlement shall apply to the Central Adoption Resource Authority in Form VI for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees, and the Central Adoption Resource Authority shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within seven days of the application.
