Surrender of certificate.—Every holder of land who ceases to carry on the holding of land assessed to revenue shall, within one hundred and twenty days of such cessation, surrender the certificate of registration to the Collector in person or by registered post, and shall inform it in Form 12 of the manner in which every demand notice held by him has been disposed of.
