Regulation 2, SEBI (Licensing of Credit rating agencies) Regulations, 2006 [SEK-VSH]

Definitions.—In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) "Act" means the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 (15 of 1992); (b) "credit rating agency" means a person carrying on the rating of securities; (c) "client agreement" means a client agreement received, held or disposed of by a credit rating agency in the course of the rating of securities; (d) "Form C" means the form so numbered in the Schedule; (e) words and expressions used herein and not defined but defined in the Act shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Act.
