Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the Marriage Officer shall apply to the Family Court in Form I for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees, and the Family Court shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within twenty-one days of the application.
