Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the occupier of land near a monument shall apply to the Competent Authority in Form I for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees, and the Competent Authority shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within thirty days of the application.
