Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the Regional Controller of Mines in the custody of the Senior Inspector of Mines, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the Regional Controller of Mines; and where the Senior Inspector of Mines having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form C within one hundred and twenty days of the succession.
