Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the author shall apply to the Controller in Form 3 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of forty thousand rupees, and the Controller shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within one hundred and twenty days of the application.
