Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the ship repairer shall apply to the Maritime Board in Form 2 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees, and the Maritime Board shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within forty-five days of the application.
