Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the owner of an inland vessel shall apply to the Mercantile Marine Department in Form 4 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees, and the Mercantile Marine Department shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within thirty days of the application.
