Surrender of certificate.—Every candidate who ceases to carry on the contesting of an election shall, within ten days of such cessation, surrender the certificate of registration to the State Election Commission in person or by registered post, and shall inform it in Form 7 of the manner in which every affidavit of a candidate held by him has been disposed of.
