Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the candidate shall apply to the State Election Commission in Form 12 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees, and the State Election Commission shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fourteen days of the application.
