Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the person residing in a prohibited area shall apply to the Defence Estates Officer in Form A for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees, and the Defence Estates Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within three days of the application.
