Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the owner of a mine within a forest shall apply to the Central Board in Form VIII for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees, and the Central Board shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within one hundred and eighty days of the application.
