Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the agent shall apply to the Director of Mines and Geology in Form K for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees, and the Director of Mines and Geology shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within one hundred and twenty days of the application.
