Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the multimodal transport operator shall apply to the Registrar of Chits in Form C for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees, and the Registrar of Chits shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within ninety days of the application.
