Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the reinsurer shall apply to the Council of Insurers in Form IRDA-2 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees, and the Council of Insurers shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fifteen days of the application.
