Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the owner of an inland vessel shall apply to the Port Authority in Form 6 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees, and the Port Authority shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within forty-five days of the application.
