Definitions.—In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) "Act" means the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act, 1983 (Tamil Nadu Act 4 of 1983); (b) "occupant" means a person carrying on the occupation of land; (c) "patta" means a patta received, held or disposed of by a occupant in the course of the occupation of land; (d) "Form 7" means the form so numbered in the Schedule; (e) words and expressions used herein and not defined but defined in the Act shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Act.
