Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the operator of a ferry shall apply to the Inland Waterways Authority in Form 2 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees, and the Inland Waterways Authority shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within twenty-one days of the application.
