Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the Competent Authority in the custody of the Deputy Superintending Archaeologist, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the Competent Authority; and where the Deputy Superintending Archaeologist having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form VII within one hundred and twenty days of the succession.
