Correction of entries.—The appropriate Government may, on an application made in Form 16 by any employer of a maternity beneficiary or of its own motion, correct any clerical or arithmetical error in the register or in a certificate of registration, after giving notice of not less than forty-two days to any person likely to be affected by the correction.
