Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the marriage bureau shall apply to the District Registrar in Form VII for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees, and the District Registrar shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within sixty days of the application.
