Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these regulations shall be kept at the office of the Central Government in the custody of the Investigating Officer, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the Central Government; and where the Investigating Officer having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form IRDA-4 within one hundred and twenty days of the succession.
