Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the performer shall apply to the Controller in Form 1 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand six hundred rupees, and the Controller shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within one hundred and eighty days of the application.
