Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the contractor engaged by a Panchayat shall apply to the District Panchayat in Form 2 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees, and the District Panchayat shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fourteen days of the application.
