Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the registered office keeper shall apply to the Registrar of Companies in Form MGT-7 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees, and the Registrar of Companies shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within one hundred and twenty days of the application.
