Safe custody.—Every owner of forest produce shall keep every tree to which these rules apply in a receptacle or place reserved for the purpose at the premises where the transit of forest produce is carried on, shall record in Form V the description of every tree so kept and the date on which it was received, and shall furnish a copy of the record to the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests within one hundred and twenty days of the close of each year.
