Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the lessee of a village tank shall apply to the Block Development Officer in Form 8 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees, and the Block Development Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within forty-five days of the application.
