Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the Chief Executive Officer of the Cantonment in the custody of the Recruiting Officer, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the Chief Executive Officer of the Cantonment; and where the Recruiting Officer having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form A within fifteen days of the succession.
